Golden Angel Sequin Gown
Create this golden goddess look was so much fun. I designed the Pegasus sequin brush from a trend research. I found that some fashion couture houses had been using this pin shaped sequins for their collections. I hope you enjoy using the brushes and create something you are happy with.
This tutorial mainly used 2 brushes to create the gown: Pegasus brush and Pin V brush. The Pegasus brush is pressure sensitive. I recommend that you practice using it until you feel comfortable with the pressure control. Try adjusting the brush size and draw it in different pressure and different length. As for the Pin V brush, you can try wiggle the brush stroke to see the effect. I like that the side of the gown has spiky look as it imitates the effect when walking.
Bejeweled Gown
This tutorial demonstrated how I used the Crystal beads to design this look. It is important to plan out your design sketch well. You can map out the bead styles before you add them in the gown. The negative spaces between the beads are important because it shows in your design as well.
For the base fabric of the gown, I selected a darker shade. This shade matches the model’s skin tone quite well. If you use other skin tone, you can do the same.
Pink Sequin Gown
For this tutorial, the video demonstrated the process of creating a more common sequin textured gown. The main brush used is Round Disc sequin brush. I used it in different sizes to make the gown look more natural. Before I added the Round Disc sequins, I used Confetti brush to create a background sequin. You can keep adding layers of sequins until you are happy with how the artwork look.
When you work on fabric that has a raised texture like sequin, add texture around the edge of the garment. This technique will make your artwork look better, instead of look too flat.
Flora Couture Gown
This gown is a bit more challenging than the other three because of there are a lot more brushes used and in various colors. But it also a lot of fun making this! Please plan out your embroidery design sketch ahead of time. It will be easier if you swatch out what beads you will be using. You can create your own color palette for this project as well.
