If you have difficulty with Etsy digital downloadable items that you’ve purchased from my Etsy store, here are some quick answers that may help you able to download and import the files. If you still need help, please contact me through Etsy message only. Or read on Etsy Help page.
1. How to download my digital item order?
For download your order from Etsy, you will need to use a web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) to login to your Etsy account on www.etsy.com . Go to your account icon > “Purchases and Reviews” > you will find the download button where you can download the files you’ve purchased.
Etsy app doesn’t provide the download function (I hope they will enable this in the near future 😅). You can see this Youtube tutorial below for where to download the file. ( video show how to import Procreate brushes but if your order is for PNG files or JPEG files, you will need to save them into Photo gallery, Download section or other directory in your iPad or computer.)
If you checked out as Guest (without created an account), you should receive a downloadable link via email address you used. In case there is a problem, please contact me via Etsy message.
2. I couldn’t locate the files that I downloaded into my iPad.
Check the blue folder icon on your iPad home screen. It’s usually there. However, if you can’t find them, please contact me and leave your email address. I will send you the files as soon as I can.
3. How to import Procreate brushes from Dropbox?
Because Etsy direct download limits file size only 20MB per attachment so the files that are larger than that will have to be hosted on another website. I made a Youtube video tutorial for the order that receive a PDF file with a Dropbox link. Make sure you do this on your iPad and have the Dropbox app already installed and opened. This will expedite the files import process. Follow this Youtube video below.
If this somehow doesn’t work, I can email the files to you. However, this should be the last method we shall use. I would try to avoid receiving files via email attachment because it limits to 25MB only. If the product files are very large (100-300MB) that means there will be about 7-10 + emails sent to you. All the Procreate brush sets will be separated in many small sets but you can arrange them together in a correct order once you download them.
4. I don’t see all the files that I expected when I downloaded my order.
Please make sure that you download all the files or zip files. Some orders may have multiple zip files due to the file size limit (20MB) on Etsy. For printable paper dolls, each file is quite large, please allow sometimes for the files to download completely.
5. Procreate multicolor brush doesn’t work.
If you already have a multicolor brush set in Procreate, but it doesn’t give multicolor effect, please try to draw by trying different pressure and tilt the Apple Pencil. These brush packs work on a pressure sensitive mode only and require a pressure sensitive stylus like Apple Pencil to work with.
6. Color palettes for Procreate metallic brushes
Procreate metallic brushes require special colors to be used with in order for them to appear correctly. I always give color palettes for each metallic brush pack. Please download and use them with the brushes. The color swatches in palettes are usually in dark value but appear lighter and brighter when used with metallic brushes. If you want to change colors, start with the colors I provided. Then, move the color wheel into the shade that you like (the outer ring). That way, you can stay in the correct color value while selecting the new color shades. If you want the colors to be darker or lighter, then slowly move the selected color to the nearby area (inner ring).
7. Procreate stamp brushes VS fashion figure PNG files.
I sell many file types in my shop. Please make sure you understand how each type work and buy them according to what you need.
For fully colored fashion figures, I only sell them in PNG file. It’s quite universal to work with many drawing programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate.
The PNG file is not a Procreate brush file. Some buyer expected to use “fully colored figures” as stamp brushes. It’s impossible because that is not how Procreate program works. Brush stamp only produces a single color so you will not get a fully colored figure from a brush stamp. I understand how convenient this might have been if it were to be saved in Procreate Brush Library! 😅😂 I could only wish!
However, you will need to save the PNG files into the Photo gallery, Download files section or other file directory in your iPad. For using the PNG file in Procreate, simply go to the wrench icon > “Insert a Photo” or “Insert a file” menu > select your PNG file, and it will be imported to the canvas you are working on. See Youtube video below for demo.
