Hello!
Who doesn’t love red-carpet? If you are here in my blog, I think I know you do! Where’s your favorite red-carpet fashion, though? Mine is The Met Gala for sure! However, today, I won’t be writing about The Met Gala. Maybe another time.
It is Cannes Festival this month. I came across a photo of Sharon Stone (from Cannes 2021) in this beautiful blue tulle gown with colorful 3D fabric flowers by Dolce & Gabbana! I used to make fabric flowers when I was an intern at Marchesa so this dress made me get so nostalgic! So, I did a little sketch with Procreate and I filmed the coloring process, too. Here is the video.
I love that Sharon chose to wear this gown. The colors and the textures of the gown were so beautiful and youthful! Sharon brought the Italian summer garden with her to Cannes and it was delightful. I wanted to see what would this look like in drawing so I made one 🙂 That’s all. I made another version of this tutorial with commentary and I explained about coloring tips, and brushes used. It’s in my Patreon channel.
